열여섯 명의 이름 앞에 하나의 번호가 놓인다. 16P1 — 열여섯 개의 삶 중에서 고른 하나, 그리고 그 하나가 다시 열여섯 개의 배경 위에 놓이는 자리.

각자의 작업은 저마다 하나의 선이다. 흙을 밀고 쌓고 굽는 시간 동안 반복된 손의 움직임이 축적되어 하나의 프레임을 이룬다. 그 선들은 나란히 놓이는 순간 서로의 배경이 된다 — 어떤 선은 다른 선의 앞에서 주체가 되고, 또 다른 선의 뒤에서는 조용히 배경이 된다.

이번 전시는 그렇게 쌓인 열여섯 개의 프레임이 만나는 자리다. 서로 다른 리듬으로 흐르던 선들이 교차하는 순간, 우리는 그것을 연대라 부르기로 한다.

Sixteen names, each placed beside a single number. 16P1 — one chosen from among sixteen lives, and that one placed again upon sixteen backgrounds.

Each body of work is a single line. Through the repeated motion of pressing, stacking, and firing clay, a frame accumulates over time. The moment these lines are placed side by side, they become each other's background — one line becomes a subject before another, and quietly becomes a background behind yet another.

This exhibition is where sixteen such accumulated frames meet. In the moment these differently paced lines cross, we choose to call it solidarity.
